Solo Holiday Deals: Where and When to Find Them

Going away on your own shouldn’t cost more than half a couple, and with a bit of timing it often doesn’t. The singles specialists run discounts just like the big tour operators. There are late seats to snap up, and a few package firms now hand out money-off codes written just for solo bookings.

This guide covers where solo holiday deals turn up, when the big discounts usually land and how to stack the savings, with every saving below checked in October 2026 (they change fast, so treat them as a snapshot rather than a promise).

Where do the best solo holiday deals turn up?

Start with the specialists. Their headline figures already include a room of your own, so £200 off is a real £200 rather than a discount clawed back by a single supplement.

• Solo specialists’ offer pages, such as Just You and Solos, where discounted tours and late seats sit side by side.
• Tour operators’ solo ranges, like Riviera Travel, Newmarket Holidays and Shearings, which add solo-only trips to their brochure promotions.
• Package firms’ solo codes, with Jet2holidays running money-off codes for solo travellers on many of its promotions.
• Late breaks, where hosted singles holidays with spare rooms close to departure come up cheaper.

Most have no published deadline, so they can vanish without warning.

Just You

Just You’s deals page had up to £400 off worldwide tours such as Japan Revealed and America’s Music Heritage, and up to £200 off selected European escorted tours. Book two tours for yourself at the same time and it takes £50 off each extra one, which is handy if you’re planning a winter city break and a summer adventure. Most trips include flights, and every one comes with a hotel twin or double to yourself and a Holiday Director, so the saving goes further than it looks and the whole experience is taken care of. Riviera Travel

On its solo holidays page, Riviera was offering up to £750pp off selected 2027 departures of Malta Uncovered, Krakow, Madeira, the Dordogne and The Blue Danube River Cruise for Solo Travellers. The cruise comes with a free all-inclusive drinks package. Its solo escorted tours are capped at 25 guests, which keeps the experience friendly.

Newmarket Holidays

Newmarket’s deals page had up to 20% off its remaining 2026 tours and up to 15% off a December break. Its Exclusively Solos tours, from the Rockies of Canada to the Heritage of Vietnam and Cambodia, give every guest a private double, so check whether your chosen tour is included. Many flights leave from regional airports such as Manchester, Bristol and Newcastle.

Travelsphere

Just You’s sister company had money off a handful of tours on its offers page when we checked on 23 October 2026, including Pompeii, Paestum & Herculaneum in the Winter and a Rockies Winter Wonderland trip, plus a separate last-minute page. Read the small print, though. Its prices are based on two sharing and a single supplement applies on every tour, so a saving on the headline price isn’t the whole story. Shearings

A £1pp deposit secures any Shearings solo traveller tour, and the 24 coach trips start at £539pp for 5 days on the English Riviera with no single supplement. It’s a cheap, guided way to try a group trip for the first time and make friends on a budget.

Jet2holidays

Here’s the one most people miss. Jet2’s promotions page lists a separate solo code for many of its package promotions, and the usual minimum of two adults doesn’t apply when you use one! On 22 October 2026 these were live:

1. YOURINSPIRED60: £60 off a solo flight and hotel package booked by 17 November 2026, for travel from 1 November 2026 to 31 March 2028.
2. AUGSEPT26SOLO50: £50 off solo bookings made by 30 November 2026, for the same travel window.
3. XMASMARKETS60: £60 off solo bookings made by 31 October 2026.

Bucket list trips for less

Long-haul adventure tours to India, Kerala, Vietnam and the Caribbean carry the biggest price tags, which is exactly why the discounts are bigger too. If one’s on your bucket list, these are worth knowing about.

India and Kerala

GoSingles, which charges no supplement on any trip, had a Grand Tour of India and Kerala leaving on 2 November 2026 from £3,599. Flights are ATOL protected under number 11633. Jules Verne lists India’s Golden Triangle on its no single supplement list, from £795 for 8 days, and Newmarket’s India’s Golden Triangle, Tigers and Amritsar is one of its solo-only tours.

Sri Lanka and Vietnam

Just You’s last-minute Sri Lanka tour, Pearl of the Indian Ocean, was £400 off at £3,779 for 14 days in October 2026.

Wendy Wu Tours’ New Year discount, its biggest ever for solos, gave free or half-price single supplements on selected escorted tours booked from 26 December 2025 to 28 February 2026, with solo-only departures of Vietnam at a Glance, Inspiring India and Highlights of Sri Lanka. Watch for the next one after Christmas.

The Caribbean

Solos’ late list had 10 nights in Antigua from £2,645 and a St Lucia Solos Exclusive from £2,999, while Friendship Travel’s early booking deal on the BodyHoliday resort in St Lucia took up to 45% off room costs for anyone who booked between 5 and 27 January 2026. Its Mexico resort deal, 10% off for June or October travel, closed on 31 March.

For Christmas at sea, Solos had a 14-night Caribbean and Central America Christmas Cruise leaving on 19 December 2026 from £7,212.

When do the singles sales run?

There’s a pattern.

The New Year rush

The biggest discounts come straight after Christmas, when operators want early bookings for the year ahead. Friendship Travel, for example, took £100 off the accommodation cost of a 14-night Turkey stay booked by 31 January 2026.

Autumn late availability

The next wave arrives in autumn, as tours with spare rooms get cut and package firms push their codes. The school summer break is the leanest time of all.

Three rules of thumb:

• Book next year’s big trip in the New Year.
• Keep an eye on late availability for a short autumn break.
• Steer clear of late July and August if cost matters most.

How do last-minute solo deals work?

When a tour has a few rooms left a few weeks before departure, operators would rather sell them cheaply than leave them empty. It’s a different experience from a trip planned a year ahead, and that’s your chance, as long as you can pack quickly and don’t mind exactly which destination you end up in. Friendship Travel says its last-minute singles holidays come at significantly discounted rates, though its listed prices are based on Gatwick flights, so expect a little more from a regional airport. Just You’s last-minute tours included Albania Uncovered at £200 off, 8 days from £1,699, and Costa de la Luz in Spain at £100 off.

Winter sun

Grab a sunbed in November! Solos had a Gran Canaria all inclusive hotel week from £1,599 leaving on 14 November 2026. Friendship Travel’s late breaks included 7 nights at the Aquamare Hotel in Paphos from £1,095 half board and the H10 Lanzarote Princess hotel from £1,725.

City breaks and Christmas markets

On Solos’ last-minute page, two nights at the Cardiff Christmas Market started at £489 and four nights in Berlin and Poznan at £1,363. Three nights at the Dublin Christmas Markets were on the list too, from £949. Not every late listing is discounted, though. Solos marked its trips “Departing Soon – Limited Spaces Available” rather than cut, so compare the cost with the same trip a few months out.

Deals that beat the single supplement

A discount based on two sharing can still leave you paying far more than half a couple. The real wins are trips where the supplement is waived or never charged, which we cover in our guide to no single supplement holidays. These four never charge one:

• One Traveller, for the over 50s.
• GoSingles, which had a beach hotel week in Oludeniz, Turkey, from £745 in late October 2026.
