Mention the word Provence and you immediately think off oleanders, olive trees, fine wines and the scent of lavender. This stunning region of France generally offers a slower of pace of life and is the perfect place for a relaxing holiday at any time of the year. With sidewalk cafes, narrow cobbled streets and villages clinging to the sides of mountains as well as stunning coastal towns and dramatic swathes of sandy beach, the area has much to offer as a holiday destination.

This 6 day holiday starts in the pretty town of Cavaillon, your base for the next five nights. On the first you will enjoy a welcome dinner and drinks, giving you the chance to get to know you fellow Just You single travellers and your host.

Over the next 5 days you can explore the region at your own pace or choose to partake in one, or all of the 4 optional excursions. These include a morning walking tour of the old quarter of Avignon, where you can admire the architecture and absorb the relaxed atmosphere before taking a cruise on the gorgeous River Rhone, a full day visit to the Roman Aqueduct, the Port du Gard and a tour of the quaint town of Aries.

A half day excursion to the very beautiful ancient city of Gordes is included in the trip. On this tour you can really soak up the artistic ambience of the town, do some souvenir shopping in the boutiques and enjoy a light lunch in one of the many sidewalk cafes.

Your hotel for the duration of this holiday will be the charming 2 star Hotel du Parc. This centrally located converted family house is welcoming and friendly and breakfast is included. The hotel does not have a restaurant for evening meals but there are many to choose from locally. Rooms are spacious and well equipped with TV, telephone and private facilities.
