Japan is a fascinating country and one of great contrasts, On the one hand you have the ultra modern cities such as Tokyo - a vibrant and dynamic capital, and on the other you have charming and very peaceful villages where little has changed for decades and ancient religion and daily rituals still dominate. You will have plenty of opportunity to get to know your travelling companions at the airport and on the flight to Tokyo.

On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel in the heart of the capital city where you will stay for 3 nights. Your hotel in Tokyo will be the luxurious Crowne Plaza Metropolitan which has a bar, restaurant and swimming pool. Over the next 3 days you will see the very best of Tokyo and enjoy plenty of free time as well as an included city tour where you will see both modern and traditional sights.

On day 5 you will board the famous Bullet Train and head on to Kyoto. Along the way you will enjoy stunning views of vast rice fields, traditional farmland and of course magnificent Mount Fuji. Your hotel in Kyoto will be the impressive Rhiga Royal which has a swimming pool, bar and restaurant.

From this luxurious base you will explore this fascinating region. Trips include a half day visit to the Nijo Castle, a tour of Nara, Japan's first imperial capital known as the City of Temples and an optional excursion to infamous Hiroshima.
